found an expert in exercise, physiology, and nutrition. My sessions

As a
professional volleyball coach and a competitive athlete, i have worked
with several trainers over my career. I was very pleased when I met Sam
and had her train me for a season on the Florida Zephryhills Pro/Am
Beach Tour. Her knowledge of volleyball and unique cardio and
mechanical training involved for this sport were apparent and made a
huge difference in the workout regimen. Encompassing everything form
arm and leg plyometrics, core strength, and interval training, the
sessions were challenging and productive.
Sam has a great energy
that kept me motivated at each session. She challenged me to push

Where
do I even begin to enlighten everyone about how Samantha (Sam) Monus
has changed my life completely? Day in and day out for years, Sam was a
caring friend, trainer, motivator, listener, enthusiast, and simply a
role model. All my life, I have been extremely active with swimming,
soccer, dance, until I went away for college and pure exercising was
more so a walk to class, a drinking game, a party, or club. In 2002, it
was the end of my sophomore year where I noticed I was really putting
on the pounds. My friends and family even casually mentioned going to
the gym. After, seeing some results from my good friend Lindsey Devers
training with Sam for a few months, and I was motivated to try as well.
I decided to meet Lindsey at the Legends Gym for one of Sam’s famous
Slim Down Challenge classes; a hour long body sculpting class full of
light to heavy weights, with high impact cardio sessions in-between and
doing sets of push ups, dips, squats as well. This class literally had
girls lined up at the aerobic doors to take!! After I took just one
class, I literally fell in love. Sam was absolutely a phenomenal
instructor; motivating the entire class constantly, helping while
instructing, and extremely energetic full of positive enthusiasm. As
months went by, I continued taking all of Sam’s classes, and she even
trained me whenever I asked her for extra help. She constantly pushed
me creating new things each time and taught me literally everything
about exercising; the right and wrong ways to do things, what to eat
and what not to eat, and everything in moderation along with resting.
Months went by and the pounds literally were just shedding off, first
my face, then my stomach, and so on. I was around 150 when I first
started and got to 120. I wasn’t a skinny 120 either; I had baby cuts
just like her! I felt so alive again and full of energy. Through life’s
many struggles, a woman’s weight tends to fluctuate and mine did as
well. Sam, for years is a phone call away for help and positive advice.
Not only do I recommend her, but to this day, I live by her rules and
teachings. In conclusion, if you want Sam’s body bad enough, just
listen to her and that’s what I did! I can truthfully say I still have
my six pack that she helped create, as I turn 25 this Thursday. I would
highly recommend her to anyone and I have. She is far from a trainer to
me, because I treat her like family. In fact, the day after my first
child’s birth, I will need her again to slim me! =)

little over a year and a half ago I finally made the decision that I
was no longer going to live my life any longer overweight, or fat, as I
liked to say. I started to go to the gym, made some progress, but knew
that I could be doing better. At the gym I continued to see this
"trainer" that I thought was gorgeous, skinny but toned and lean.
Finally after being a chickened for a week or so, I went up to her and
asked "How can I look like you???"
Sam took me into her office,
talked to me about what I wanted to accomplish. things that I wanted to
change, and just general getting to know you. The next day I came in
for my first training session with her. It was great, hard, but really
nice to really feel worked out. She showed me things that I would never
have thought to do, taught me yoga, and basically kicked my butt. She
told me everything I needed to know on what to do to lose the weight.
We met once a week for almost 6 months I believed before she moved down
south. During that time she helped me kick up my exercises, showed me
what books to read, and was motivational and kept the complements
coming. I worked really hard, thanks to her motivation, and lost about
70lbs in about 6 months. She was even motivational in my wish to become
a personal trainer . Although I have to take a lot of credit for what
I accomplished , I can honestly say that if it had not been for Sam, I
am not sure I could have done it, or so quickly. I will always cherish
the workouts that she took me through ( although at the time I may have
been pooped), and consider her a good friend.

I
am in my late 20's and had put on some extra pounds over the years
after college. After trying to lose weight on my own for months with no
luck, I was frustrated. I also had major food allergies and other
intestinal issues. I was constantly battling a bloated belly and
cramped stomach. I came to Sam for advice and little did I know that
she would eventually change my whole outlook on life and my health
forever! Right away she went down the list of foods that I should be
eating and which foods to avoid altogether. Of course I wasn't sure at
first if I would ever be as thin as I once was, or if I would ever be
NOT bloated. It had become a part of my life that I thought that I
would just have to DEAL with! No way, Sam was not going to let that be
the case. So I stuck to her regimen and took all of her advise. From
the diet, to the exercise, & to the enzymes she suggested. I began
to notice a difference in my healthy and bloating within the first week
and a half. It was not long after that I began to lose weight, have
more energy, and I was bloat free! My body literally began to shrink!
It was amazing; i never thought my stomach would ever be that flat
again.
I must say that Sam is extremely knowledgeable, caring,
and passionate. To work with Sam is to know you are in good hands and
that she would never steer you wrong. She believes in what she does and
will give you her all. Sam is very easy to talk to and understands

Throughout my life I have had the fortunate circumstance of always being surrounded by what the masses consider to be, the most enlightened and highly esteemed individuals in the world of health and wellness. In fact, one of them is a family relative and is considered by Spiritual Guru/Author Deepak Chopra, Life Coach/Motivator Anthony Robbins, as well as millions around the world, as the globe’s leading authority in the health and fitness sector. Needless to say, growing up in an environment such as this has provided me with a greater understanding than most, on how to best approach life from a healthy perspective. It has also provided me with a significant advantage in terms of recognizing trainers and instructors that really know what they are doing.
Throughout my experience in this society and culture, I have encountered, befriended and assessed many Collegiate, Professional and Olympic Athletes that subscribe to a number of techniques in order to reach their optimum performance in both sports and in life. Being exposed to a lot of various theories and practices, I too have extrapolated for the purposes of always trying new things and finding unique methods to keep myself in a consistent state of progression. I have found that I can never know enough when it comes to advancing in Mind, Body & Spirit. However, it was around eight months ago that I started breaking down in all three of the aforementioned areas. Mentally, I was out of practical answers for why life was the way it was, or should I say “wasn’t”. Spiritually, I was empty inside and my typical, disciplined approach to getting things done wasn’t enough to motivate me. On top of all of that, my body had broken down as a result of the first two issues. It was time for a serious change.
Prior to that experience I had always believed in and been successful in terms of “just getting over myself”, no matter what the circumstance. I would tell myself that it was just a “mental decision” and once I had gotten past that block in my mind, I would then let discipline and consistent habits take over for me. Up to that point my philosophy had always been exactly that. I would tell myself to get over whatever it was that was hindering me and to load up on as many activities as possible so that I could stay busy and effective. I would draft almost unattainable goals and schedules for myself so that I would guarantee results in every aspect of my existence. Every week and month I would do a self-evaluation in all aspects of my progress or failure, to make sure that I stay on course.
This was my method for overriding a not so stimulated, uninspired psyche. All I was doing was just pushing through. This actually worked for years and years, but when it seemed like going back to that same old well had lost its luster, I did not know where else to find motivation. I could not lie to my own spirit or trick it into believing that this was going to be stimulating and ultimately give me some kind of new, magical result. It was at that time where a particular injury took me out of my patterns and into an alternative realm of physical and spiritual practice.
To be totally honest, not being able to do my daily ritual run of 9 miles had me going crazy and I had to seek alternative stimulus that would give me what I needed to fill that habitual void. Much to my surprise, it has given me so much more. The original intention was to just do “this girl’s” class for as long as I had to, until I healed enough to get back into my old regiment. However, after the first month of being in her class I found myself experiencing new sensations in spiritual and physical health. It has enhanced and complimented everything that I do (Strength, Weight Management, A more Open Gate in my Running, Handling Stress, Work, Creativity, Overall Focus & Energy etc…).
I have maintained a very strict approach to her practice and for the last six months have been arranging all of my rituals and training around her classes.
It is no accident that I am writing this testimonial about how encountering Samantha Monus has made such a significant impact in my life. She is a Gift to all of us whom are fortunate enough to have shared classes with her and I would put her in that same elite class of the most revered and respected of visionaries, in the realm of Spiritual and Physical, Health & Wellness. She just has the “It” quality that so few possess. Wow!! Honestly it is hard to put into words what Sam has done to change my life. Bottom line I look at Sam as a wellness guru! My relationship with Sam began by attending her group fitness classes 6 years ago. My background was in gymnastics, cheerleading, track, you name it I did it. Although I was a gym rat I wasn’t happy with where my fitness and over all wellness lifestyle had settled. I first attended Sam’s group fitness class a few days a week and was hooked. She was so passionate and excited to be teaching that I was drawn to want to learn more. I think it only took a few classes before I was asking her if she would be interested in training me. What I thought would be a few days a week of fitness instruction turned into one of the best experiences of my life.
Her approach was professional, inspirational, and life changing. I specifically remember that while Sam was training me I was getting sick and she brought me supplements while I was working to help keep me healthy. To know that someone cares about you outside of your training session means the world. She really wants to see you achieve your goals in all aspects of your life!
I have trained with a few different personal trainers from time to time and I have been so spoiled that they cannot compare to the fusion Sam created for me. I think the difference that Sam brings to the table is that she lives every part of what she is helping her clients to achieve. I really feel that Sam has set the bar for all wellness professionals and is an example of a quality person!
I have completed two of the Monus deparitization cleanses. Each cleanse has been highly effective. After each cleanse I felt energized and “healthy” again!
